Houston Stephenson is a senior at Madill High School. His parents are Tulina Stephenson and Darrell Stephenson. His siblings are Darrell Stephenson, Michael Stephenson, Zachary Stephenson, and Tabatha Stephenson. Stephenson has attended Madill public schools his entire school career. Even though he currently only plays baseball and is on the wrestling team, he has participated in every- thing from football, baseball, track, wrestling, and band.
Stephenson said he has so many memories over the years playing sports but there one that sticks out the most to him. It is the one where Tito, a fellow senior and classmate, cut his hand open with a steak knife on the bus ride home from a ballgame.
His greatest inspiration has been his dad, he said.
“When it comes to people in my life that has inspired me, I guess I would say my dad,” Stephenson said. “He has always been there to sup- port me and encourage me. He has always showed up when I needed him.”
After graduation, Stephenson said he doesn’t know exactly what he wants to do, but he knows he wants to make money. His advice to his younger classman is, “just keep on, keeping on.”
