Families across the area are invited to celebrate the end of summer and prepare for the upcoming school year during a free Back-to-School Bash on Friday, Aug. 8, at William Ray Memorial Park. The community event will begin at 5 p.m., with food being served at 6 p.m.
Organizers are encouraging everyone to bring their friends and family for an evening of fun, fellowship and activities designed to help students head back to the classroom ready for a successful year. The Back-to-School Bash will feature a wide variety of attractions for children and adults alike.
Activities will include bounce houses, snow cones, free haircuts, airbrush face painting, games, entertainment and fellowship throughout the evening. Backpacks filled with school supplies will also be distributed to children while supplies last, helping local families prepare for the new school year.
Music will be provided by the Lake Church Worship Team, adding live entertainment to the celebration. Admission to the event is completely free, and organizers hope the gathering will bring the community together while easing some of the financial burden many families face during the back-to-school season.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the festivities comfortably. The event promises food, fun and opportunities for families to connect with neighbors as students prepare to return to school.
