Robert Dean Goff, Sr., 73, of Marietta, Okla., passed away on September 13, 2025, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. Robert grew up in Lebanon, Okla., where he developed the values of hard work, devotion to family and faith that guided his life.

Robert was the true patriarch of his family, a man whose generosity and warmthtouchedeveryoneheencountered. He believed in Jesus Christ and lived in a way that brought care and compassion to others. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand, a smile or practical advice rooted in good old-fashioned common sense.

He spent his career in the oil field industry, where his strong work ethic and mechanical talent were well known. Robert was deeply respected in the industry for his engineering skill, welding ability and craftsmanship. He had a remarkable gift for building, fixing and creating everyday essentials with ingenuity and care.

He proudly served with the East Side Volunteer Fire Department for over two decades, dedicating his time and energy to protecting and supporting his community.

Beyond work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life: playing dominos, Wahoo and cards; watching westerns and M.A.S.H.; rarely missing an episode of The Young and the Restless or The Big Bang Theory; and enjoying his afternoon naps. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lavonna Valentine Goff; is father, Marcus Edwin Goff; mother, Pauline Lee McHargue Goff; brother; and two nephews.

He is survived by his loving children, Brandy Rundel of Durant, Okla., Jennifer Knudtson and husband William of Marietta, Okla. and Robert Goff, Jr. and wife Kristy of Cashion, Okla.; as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Robert also raised four bonus children with Connie Sims and four bonus children with Jennifer Goff. He maintained positive, deep and loving relationships with both families, extending his guidance and care far beyond his immediate children.

Robert is also survived by his mother-in-law, Wynona Buxton of Durant, Okla.; brother, Marcus Goff and wife Gaby of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Paulette Mayes and husgband Ken of College Station, Texas, Betty Chumley and husband Rick of Madill, Okla.; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends who were blessed by his companionship.

Robert’s legacy is one of love, generosity and selflessness. His memory will continue to shine brightly through his family and all whose lives he touched.

A funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at New Beginnings Church, 518 S. 1st St. in Madill, Okla. with Bro. Bryan Wardroop officiating. A graveside followed at Oakland Cemetery in Madill, Okla.

Paulbearers were Glen Grego, Paul Grooms, Dustin Hicks, Jerry Hicks, Tracy Hunter and Josh Hicks. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Tate, Damien Fallabaum and Stacy Hunter.
