Jacqueline Joy Stanley, 94 and lovingly known as “Jackie,” passed away peacefully in her home in Oklahoma City on June 22, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, businesswoman and friend, Jackie leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, strength and service to her community.
Jackie was born on March 3, 1931, in Lark, Okla., to Alma and Jack Young. She wasraisedalongsideherbrothers,Leeand Kenneth Young in Madill, Okla. Jackie married the love of her life, Aaron Keith “A.K.” Stanley on May 24, 1947, with whom she had two children, Keith Lynn and Michele, they built a life grounded in family and faith.
A proud graduate of Seminole High School, Class of 1948, she went on to build a respected career as a licensed real estate broker and appraiser. A pioneer for women in business, Jackie was a trailblazer in Oklahoma real estate. She owned and operated Jackie Stanley Real Estate and several other businesses. She made history in 1970 as the first woman president of the Capitol Hill Realtors, served as its director in 1971, and secretary in 1969. She also served as secretary for Pilot International South OKC from 1978 to 1979.
Jackie was a proud member of Oak Crest Church of Christ and deeply involved in community service. Her many honors include mentions in prestigious publications such as Community Leaders and Noteworthy Americans, International Who’s Who in Community Service, Personalities of the South (1976–77), International Who’s Who of Intellectuals,BookofHonor(1978),Who’sWhoofAmerican Women(1977–78),Who’sWhointheSouthwest(1978–79), and World Who’s Who of Women (1979).
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Jackie had a creative soul and a generous heart. She loved painting, acting in community theater, and was happiest when hosting family gatherings and holidays. Watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren run through her home brought her pure joy.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Jack Young; brother, Lee Young; sister-in-law, Nola Young; and her beloved husband, A.K. Stanley.
She is survived by her children, Keith Lynn Stanley of Oklahoma City and Michele Michaud and her husband BradofTuttle;grandchildren,TanyaWhitmill(wifeDenise McCleary) of Oklahoma City, Matthew Stanley of Yukon, and Megan Price (husband Jerrod) of Edmond; greatgrandchildren, Payton Elam (husband Austin) of Tuttle, Preston Whitmill (wife Maddy) of Tulsa, and Owen, Piper and Scarlette Price of Edmond; great-great-grandchild, Axtyn Elam; brother, Kenneth Young and longtime friend and caregiver Susan Erickson.
Pallbearers honoring Jackie’s life are Matthew Stanley, Jerrod Price, Owen Price, Austin Elam, Preston Whitmill, Steven Fitzgerald and Ricky Daniels.
Jackie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her warmth, leadership and love for family will live on for generations.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow immediately after the service.
