Lora Lynn Tarlton

Lora Lynn (Handcock) Tarlton, 57 of Kingston, Okla., passed away April 15, 2025, in Durant, Okla. She was born on February 28, 1968, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to the late Lawrence Edward Handcock and Jessie Marie (Justus) Handcock.

Raised in the Healdton, Fox and Ratliff Cityareas,LoragraduatedfromHealdton High School in 1986. Shortly after graduation, she married Shane Martin, with whom she shared 21 years of marriage and raised two children, Justin Dean and Samantha Lynn. In 2008, she married Kenny Tarlton, who preceded her in death in 2018.

Lora’s professional career included positions at Fox Deli Que, Michelin Tire Plant and Tooter’s Place. She dedicated 18 years of her career to the Chickasaw Nation in accounting.

Lora had a passion for sewing, fishing, camping and boating, and she cherished time spent in nature. Above all, her greatest joy came from being with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Kenny.

She is survived by her son, Justin Dean Martin and wifeHarley;daughter,SamanthaJonesandhusbandTroy; partner,RoyceJordan;bonuschildren,BrandyBradenand husband Lewayne, Allen Tarlton, Brandon Tarlton, and Aaron Tarlton and wife Lauren; siblings, Dora Handcock and wife Dolly, Larry “PeeWee” Handcock and wife Tari, and Steven Handcock and wife Christy; grandchildren, Dakota Layn, Aria Dean, Landry James, Kihlynn Marie, Bryley Ryan, and Kooper Shane; bonus grandchildren, Logan, Kade, Austin, Denise, and Serenity; along with numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton. Rev. Mike Johnston officiated the service, with interment following at Rosehill Cemetery in Ardmore, Okla.

Pallbearers for the service included Robin Jordan, Casey Brown, Layne Canfield, Houston Williams, Wes Warrington and Keith Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were Kooper Shane, Landry James, Troy Jordan, Shane Martin, Roy Jordan, Kory Marx and James Tow.
