Paloma Valadez is a senior at Madill High School. A lifelong resident of Madill, Valadez has made the most of her time at Madill Schools, where she has cultivated lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.
Valadez is the daughter of Kim and Juan Valadez, with loving support from her grandparents, Penny and James, as well as Josefina and Jose Valadez. Having attended Madill Schools her entire life, Valadez said she feels a deep connection to her community and classmates.
An enthusiastic participant in various sports, Valadez has served as a trainer for football, wrestling and baseball while also excelling in powerlifting and track. Her dedication to athletics is matched only by her ambition for the future. After high school, Valadez said she hopes to continue her training in college while pursuing a degree in real estate, aiming to further her career in both fields.
Valadez reflected on her high school experience and her favorite moments.
“My favorite memory is really getting to enjoy every single moment with my classmates I’ve grown up with and taking this last journey with them.”
Valadez even shared her favorite football memory.
“Every moment since my freshman year has been enjoyable. I’ve cherished every memory with all my trainers, players, and coaches. I will surely miss it after this season is over.”
Gratitude fills Valadez’s heart as she expressed her thanks to her coaches.
“I would like to thank every single coach from every sport I’m a part of for letting me have the best four years and for allowing me to train for football, wrestling and baseball. I definitely love training for these sports and getting to help every player.”
Valadez also acknowledgds the unwavering support of her parents.
“I would like to thank my parents for everything they’ve done for me my whole life. Without them, I wouldn’t be the girl I am now. I thank them for supporting me throughout these past four years and being my number one supporters.”
Inspiration has always played a vital role in her life, with her faith in God being a significant influence.
“God has done everything for me and continues to do things for me, along with my parents, siblings, and friends.”
Additionally, he credited her fellow trainers, Autumn and Lily, for their guidance and mentorship during her freshman year, helping her grow into the athlete she is today.
As she prepares to leave high school behind, Valadez has some heartfelt advice for younger classmates.
“Don’t take these four years for granted; they go by super fast. I didn’t believe anyone when they told me as a freshman, but here I am now as a senior on the road to graduate. Definitely participate in any school events or activities; high school memories are worth experiencing, and you don’t want to lose the opportunity to be a part of those things.”
