Beverly Lou Perkins

Beverly Lou Perkins, 92, of Highland Village, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026. She lived a life full of love for God, family, friends and adventure.

Born on September 25, 1933, in Madill, Okla., she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Baldwin and Hazel Baldwin. She was raised in Madill, where she formed many lifelong friendships. She played saxophone in the Madill Wildcats Marching Band and graduated with the Class of 1951.

Beverly possessed a love for learning and a natural gift for communication, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. She remained an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan throughout her life. After completing her master’s degree, she worked for TV Guide in Oklahoma City.

On August 18, 1957, Beverly married the love of her life, Thomas Dwight Perkins, in Madill. Together, they built a life rich in faith, family, and lifelong friends. Over the years, they lived in Norman, Okla.; Beaumont, Texas; and Bridgewater, NJ. During her time in New Jersey, Beverly earned a statewide award for a relocation book and later became a real estate broker and award winning office manager with Weichert Realtors. She touched many lives and found great joy in helping families find new homes.

After retiring in 1993, Beverly and Tom settled in Highland Village, Texas, where they shared their home with their beloved Westies. They enjoyed traveling together to Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Bermuda, the Caribbean and Canada.

A woman of deep, abiding faith, Beverly began her spiritual journey in the Baptist Church and later became a lifelong Methodist. For the past 33 years, she was a devoted member of Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, where she volunteered, worshiped and built cherished relationships. Her church family held a special place in her heart.

Beverly embraced life wholeheartedly. She loved playing bridge with friends, spending time on the golf course or tennis court and exploring new places with Tom. More than anything, she treasured her family. Her greatest joy came from being a mother, grandmother and friend, and she held close every moment spent with those she loved.

Tom preceded her in death on May 24, 2017. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Patti Seefeldt of The Woodlands, Texas; son, Stephen T. Perkins and wife Sandy of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, T.J. Seefeldt and wife Paulette, Sarah Seefeldt, Jake Seefeldt and wife Cece, and William Perkins; along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
