Jason Ward was named the Arts Administrator of the Year.
Jason Ward was named the Arts Administrator of the Year on Tuesday, March 26 by Dr. Elizabeth Maughan at the OKSDE. Ward was nominated by arts colleagues for his unfailing support of fine arts programs, students, and teachers at Madill.
The Oklahoma Education Awards for Arts Excellence is the highest award for the arts given in the state. The OKSDE in partnership with the Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education, the Oklahoma Arts Council, and the Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma recognize students and teachers each year who excel in the arts.
Ward will be recognized on Tuesday, April 23 at the historic Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie for his contribution to the arts.
Along with Ward, MHS had a record number of student award recipients.
