TFD: Respectful flag disposal

Our Flag is a symbol of freedom and should be respected. So, we fly them proudly to show our love for our country.

However, what do we do when our flag gets tattered and torn? You can bring them to the Texoma Community Center at 10978 Parkview just south of Rooster Creek Bridge.

There’s a wooden box by the door. Brandie Cissell will handle the ceremony for a respectful disposal as suggested by the National Flag Foundation.

The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of the month at the Training/Community Center at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

The Texoma Fire District Auxiliary meets the third Monday of the month at 10978 Parkview, just south of Rooster Creek Bridge at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering at 1:00 p.m.
