The Texoma Volunteer Fired Department is in desperate need for a Fire Board Volunteer. The candidate needs to be a paid member of the Texoma Fire District and be able to attend all meetings that occur on the first Thursday of each month 6:30 p.m. at the Auxiliary Building. Anybody interested should contact Paula Zimmerman or Shelia Sikes for more information.
The TFVD auxiliary meeting was held on September 16. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m.. All members recited the pledge of allegiance. The Texoma Fire Auxiliary meets on the third Monday of each Month at 1:30 p.m. with a social gathering at 1 p.m. prior to the meeting. The next meeting will occur on Monday October 21, 2024.
The Texoma Fire Auxiliary will be hosting a bake craft and rummage sale on November 9.
The Texoma Fire District Board of Directors meet the first Thursday of each month, at the Training Community Center located at 10978 Parkview at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be held on November 7 .
The exercise/stretching classes are held every Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Card games are on the second and fourth Tuesday at 12 p.m.. Auxiliary members are welcome to join.
For anyone interested in renting the Texoma Community Building please contact Judy Jefferies At 580-565-1400, calls are monitored twice a week so please allow plenty of time for the event. The cost is $75 per day and the building can only be rented by members of the Texoma Fire District. Please be advised the capacity is 158 people.
The Lighthouse Methodist Church located at 4923 Alberta Creek Road provides an evening meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lighthouse Kids Program for grade school children consisting of Bible stories, crafts and games is held each Wednesday 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. following the meal.
