We are finally getting some cooler weather. It may not much but we welcome anythingthatcomesourway.
We will all be outside more, so please watch out for ATV's and UTV's on the roads. They will be out in full force.
Keep the leaves picked up around your homes and buildings. It is so dry and even with a little bit of rain they are still a fire danger.
If you have fertilized and leaves pile up it is such a dangerous fir,e hazard. As my husband and I have done, make sure and clean your yards up.
You dont want anything to prevent our brave young men and women from doing their job. I know you will all join me in welcoming fall and the relief from the heat we will all get.
Ladies our next Auxiliary meeting will be Monday October 19 at 1:30 p.m. with a fellowship at 1 p.m prior to the meeting.
The exercise/stretching classes are every Monday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Card games are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 12:00 p.m.
For anyone needing to rent the Texoma Community Center building for a party or family gathering place contact Judy Jeffreys at 405-684-1636. Calls are monitored twice a week so please allow plenty of time for your event.
The cost is $75 per day and can only be rented by members of the Fire District. The building capacity is 158.
