A report for a stolen trailer led to the arrest of two Madill residents; Michael Tiller and Dusty Peters. On Tuesday, July 21 at approximately 9:00 a.m., a man went to the Sheriff’s Office and reported he had a trailer stolen off his property in Johnston County several months prior.

One might wonder why somebody would report something stolen months after the event, and in a neighboring county, at that. Well, it seems the victim had located his trailer at an Oakland residence and was requesting assistance from the sheriff’s office.

Marshall County Deputies went to the residence in question and verified that the trailer in the yard was in fact the stolen one, even though the VIN had been changed. Once they verified the trailer was stolen, deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence.

Executing the search warrant uncovered multiple felonies for the two suspects, Tiller and Peters. The charges include Poossession of a Firearm After the Former Conviction of a Felony, Possession of Stolen Firearms, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Converted Stolen Trailer.

Marshall County Sheriff Danny Cryer said there was also enough liquid Methamphetamines to charge them with Trafficking of CDS, as well.

All of the drugs were submitted to OSBI for further testing.

An online search found a few Oklahoma priors for Tiller for Possession of CDS, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
