Rose garden club meeting

The Madill Rose Garden Club hosted the South Central District Fall Board meeting on October 17 at the Madill First Methodist Church. Club members and visitors from the Marlow Patio Club, Norman Buds and Blooms and Blossoms Garden Club attended, along with long-time club member Nan Lacey, who visited from Oklahoma City.

The event commenced in the fellowship hall with an opening prayer delivered by Reverend Steve and Wanda Littrell from the Madill First MethodistChurch.Attendees were treated to morning beverages and a delightful continental-style breakfast.

The luncheon, catered by Sandra Sweeney of Madill, featured a selection that included vegetable beef soup, turkey, and ham and cheese sandwiches, three different desserts, accompanied by beverages.

During the meeting, club members presented three concise programs on topics such as tree trimming, mealy worms, and irises planting. A silent auction was conducted, which successfully generated $296.00. Additionally, all registered participants received complimentarygiftbagsfrom local Madill vendors and businesses.
