Madill FFA started OYE with a bang. They had eight students take their Ag Mechanics projects to Oklahoma City to be judged against projects from across the state. This was the 4th year for the OYE Ag Mechanics project show, but the first time Madill FFA has competed. The results are as follows: Luz Gomez 48” Santa Maria Grill 1st in class 10: fire pits and grills 2nd in division There were over 20 other entries in this incredibly competitive class. In division, she competed against all trailer-mounted cookers and stationary offset smokers.

4th in division To be the 4th out trailer at OYE is no small feat. After winning his class, he competed against all other trailers, including goosenecks, livestock trailers, and a semi-trailer.

Bridger Lott and Eli French 4 bin high capacity deer feeder 2nd in class 13: Wildlife feeders and waterers 3rd in division This was a super competitive division, as well. While they didn’t win their class, they were able to grab 3rd in the division and win a brand new Dewalt drill.

Trace Crook Skirted Dually truck bed 4th in class Trace worked tirelessly to ensure that each part of this bed was perfect. From the welds to the lights installed every piece with immense precision and care.

Eli French and Chance Whitman Double alfalfa bale feeder 4th in class While there were some projects that were flashier, there were none cleaner. The boys took extra time to make sure all their welds and finish were spot on.

Holden McGahey Drive over ATV gate 4th in class The judges were very impressed with the design and practicality of Holden’s gate, and he was approached several times about selling it.

Tyce Pruitt Customized octagon fire pit 5th in class 10: Grills and fire pits This class was the largest of the day with over 20 entries. The judges were very impressed with the unique finish that Tyce used, which he brought in from his blacksmithing experience.
