Chris Duroy announced his bid to run for Commissioner District 3. Duroy has spent the last 13 years serving in this capacity.
Duroy has headed multiple county projects like replacing several deficient bridges with CIRB funds, in which he also used five million dollars of CIRB funds for road projects. He also fixed five miles of State Lake Access funded roads and over 30 miles completely restructuring chip seal roads with M&O funds.
Duroy has obtained multiple grants for Marshall County’s roads and bridges. While serving as commissioner, he has been on multiple committee boards. He was INCA’s executive board vice chairman for eight years, Oklahoma Works executive board for 12 years, NACO economic development committee for four years, and four terms as Chairman for the Board of County Commissioners.
Duroy said he plans on moving forward for the future of Marshall County and District 3 by staying on top of the state park development, looking to build a new and desperately needed ambulance service building (ARPA funding), aiding in the new addition to the Expo Building, and more economic developments for the entire county. In addition, he is using a CIRB program for improvements on Texoma Park Road, Alberta Creek Road and the Rooster Creek Bridge along with several subdivision with M&O funds.
