Kingston Police Officer Kasey Cox was named Kingston Police Chief on July 12, 2022. Cox began his law enforcement career in 2010 where he was a Caddo Reserve Officer for six months, then an Achillie Reserve Officer for six.

He was supposed to start as a Kingston Reserve Police Officer in 2011, but fate had different plans. He was called and offered a full time position with the Kingston Police Department on the same day he was supposed to begin as a reserve officer. Cox worked for Kingston for five years; from 2011 to 2016.

Cox then worked as a Marshall County Deputy from 2017 to 2021, and then made his way back to the Kingston Police Department in the same year he left the MCSO. He was named the Kingston Police Chaplain and then was promoted to sergeant in September 2021. Cox started as the Interim Kingston Police Chief on June 28, 2022 and was named the full time chief during his pinning ceremony. It was a unanimous vote by the Kingston City Council to promote Cox chief.

Cox received many hours of training while employed at the MCSO. He also received several accommodations while with the sheriff’s office. He talked a suicidal subject out of Lake Texoma and retrieved another aggressive suicidal subject from the water by going in after them.

He is CPR trained and has used his training twice to save lives. He is also a certified CPR instructor.

His training includes Line Safety Officer, FTO Instructor, Chaplain, Training Instructor, CLE Pepper Gun Instructor, Glock Armorer and more.
