As Madill football prepares to bid farewell to another season, Madill High School shines a spotlight on Gage Stanley.
Stanley, the son of Alisha Stanley and the grandson of Phyllis and Stan Stanley, has been a proud member of the Madill school family since the first grade. He has not only excelled academically but has also made his mark on the football field, where he has been a key player during his high school years.
Reflecting on his favorite memory, he recalled the exhilarating moment when he and his teammates doused Coach P. with water after a triumphant victory against their biggest rival, Kingston HighSchool,duringhisfreshman year.
“That was such a fun moment, and it really showed the camaraderie we have as a team,” he shared.
Looking ahead, Stanley said he plans to attend college after graduation, a step he feels excited about as he continues to pursue his dreams. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to his coaches.
“Thank you to my coaches for all the advice on and off the football field. You’ve been great role models for me.”
He said that family plays a vital role in his life, and he is especially thankful for the unwavering support from his mother and grandparents.
“Thank you for always loving and caring for me; you all are the best,” he expressed warmly.
He noted that his inspiration in life comes from his mother, whose strength and dedication motivate him every day. Additionally, Stanley credited his grandpa for instilling in him the drive to succeed in sports.

As he prepares to close this chapter, Stanley said he has some valuable advice for younger classmates.
“Don’t take school for granted; enjoy every second of it!”
