After becoming the firstever Madill girls state powerlifting placer a year ago, juniorHannahRiosimproved on that finish this year with a runner-up effort at the Oklahoma Girls State Powerlifting Meet last week in Durant.
Rios notched a three-lift total of 815 pounds to claim second in the 181-pound division by posting 315 on squat, a meet-best 170 on bench and 330 in the deadlift.
Madill’s Maddie Ritchie contributed a 10th place tally of 635 pounds in the 198-pound category (225 squat, 125 bench, 285 deadlift).
Kingston had one state placer as well in the 121-pound division as Bailey Reagan tallied 560 total pounds(190squat,100bench, 270 deadlift) in a ninth place finish.
The Lady Redskins also had a pair of junior high state placers in the event in Ella Weaver and Hannah Uhlenhake.
Weaver was fourth at 165 pounds as she notched a combination of 550 pounds (215 squat, 120 bench, 215 deadlift). Uhlenhake took seventh in the 150-pound category by totaling 530 pounds on the three lifts (185 squat, 110 bench, 235 deadlift).
