Residents participate in annual run challenge

Manyresidentsshowedup to participate in the DanMan Challenge on April 1. The annual eventwas held at the Oteka D. Ranch near Madill. There were many types of marathons that fit all types of runners. It had a 10K, 1/2 marathon, and a marathon. For the really brave runners, there was a 50 mile run.

The challenge is specially designed for mulitple functions. It’s to introduce runners to trail running, to encouragerunnerstosurpass their typically running limit and to run 50 miles without the pesky cutoff times.

The races were held on ranch roads with wide dirt trails. They began and ended at the Ranch House.
