Pedro Mata

As graduation slowly approaches for the Class of 2024, Pedro Mata stands out as a dedicated and passionate student at Madill High School. Having attended Madill Schools his entire life, Mata has built lasting memories and friendships within the community.

Mata, son of Valeria and Abel Garcia, and grandson of Graciela and Gary Tyler, is part of a large family that includes siblings Alycia, Jeremiah, Zamirah, Abel, Cain, and Victoria. This supportive family has played a significant role in his educational journey.

An active member of the band, Mata said he has enjoyed expressing his musical talents throughout his high school years. One of his favorite memories from band was achieving a superior rating during his freshman year, a reflection of his hard work and dedication.

Looking ahead, Mata said he plans to attend OUSIT to pursue a career as a lineman.

He reflected on his high school memories.
