- Lucas Franklin, a Heavyweight Wrestler, with the Madill Takedown Club was invited to wrestle with the Team Oklahoma Rampage at the 2025 AAU National Duals on April18-19,2025,attheEMC Expo Center. Franklin is in the Middle School division.
He went 6-2 becoming an All-American for the second time this month and giving his team the points in the final seconds of the Middle School tournament to take 1st Place in the Silver Pool.
The AAU National Duals brings together elite youth wrestlers from all across the United States, but mostly from the Midwest. Wrestlers range in age from elementary school to high school.
The Madill Takedown Club coaches said they are elated for Franklin and his family.
“This tournament is grueling enough, but Lucas also had to execute his first weight cut,” said Head Coach of Freestyle and Greco, Peter Hammer. “And, he did it safely, dropping to 251 lbs. He had really gifted competition and delivered the win for Team Oklahoma Rampage. We are honored to have him as part of the club.”
