The Madill High School girls and boys cross country teams each claimed second place team honors at the McLoud Blackberry Run on Saturday as they continue to build for the postseason.
In the girls’ division, the Lady Wildcats trailed only Prague in the team standings whiletheWildcatsonlyended behind Dickson.
Senior Yadira Barbosa medaled with a third place individual finish of 12 minutes, 44 seconds as the top Madill finisher on the 3,200-meter distance.
Lexington Willis checked in13thwithatimeof14:31.68, Jeylah Cabrales took 20th in 15:00.15 and Katelyn Acquaviva was just behind in 21st at 15:00.93. Jayleen Vasquez posted a 33rd place mark of 15:42.66, Isabell Stuckey ended 37th in 15:48.67 and Hadon Stuckey added a 38th in 16:00.16.
The Wildcats were topped by Alex Orta as he medaled in seventh at 18:14.11 with Jayden Barbosa also cracking the Top 10 in 10th place with a time of 18:24.26 on the 5K course.
Ryder Douglas tossed in a 14th mark of 18:49.89, Jose Campos was 15th at 18:52.48, Blane Hawthorne placed 20th at 19:06.10, Gael Gallegos checked in 37th in 20:09.74 and Aroddy Camacho was 52nd in 20:47.48.
