Madill Cross Country boys and girls teams place twice this week

The Madill Wildcats Cross Country teams attended two meets last week, and placed at the top in both.

On Tuesday, September 8, the Wildcats traveled to Ada for the East Central University Tiger Chase.

For the 3.1 miles run, Miguel Duran took first place with a time of 17.00. Third place went to Brodie Tull (18:25). Fourth place was Angel Granados (18:40). Seventh place was Gael Salinas (19:03). Rounding out the top ten was Anthony Sanchez (19:13). Sergio Hernandez (19:41); Osvaldo Ariciage (19:44); Armando Gonzalez (20:27); Jared Gallegos (22:20); Sahith Gondi (22:51); David Mendez (23:09); Alan Veras (23:17); Cesar Moreno (24:37).

Isabel Sanchez took first place in the two mile run with a 13:15 time. Fifth place with a 13:40 time goes to Valeria Calderon. Madill hosted the Lake Country Conference meet at City Lake on Saturday, September 12. Both Miguel Duran (17:00) and Isabel Sanchez (13:41) took first place. Miguel led the boys to take second place overall in the 3.1 mile run, and Isabel led the girls to fourth place overall in the two miles. Rounding out the top ten for the boys was seventh place, Brodie Tull (18:53); ninth place, Angel Granados (19:00); tenth place, Anthony Sanchez (19:03). Gael Salinas (19:12); Sergio Hernandez (19:39); Osvaldo Ariciage (20:05); Jared Gallegos (21:52); Armando Gonzalez (22:00); David Mendez (23:46); Sahith Gondi (24:46); Cesar Moreno (26:16).

Valeria Calderon (13:49) received fourth place. The Wildcats travel to Norman on September 19 for the OK Runner meet.
