Allyson Coles competed in the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympic Games on July 31, 2021. The first event was the 1500 Meter. Allyson placed 15th out of 60 in the event.

She competed against the national record holder for that particular event and age group, and held her own.

Allyson also was able to make a personal best with her time, shaving five seconds from her previous 2019 time. Allyson is currently in the top 7 standings in the meet.

She soon faces the 3000 meter, which is Allyson’s dominate event. Her family took to Facebook to share her accomplishment and wish her well in the upcoming events.

“We are currently in the top seven in standings and hope we finish that way and pray we do our best,” Alyssa Coles posted. “Thank you to everyone and your continued support of Allyson! Also, thank you for the cheerleaders letting Allyson rock a Madill tattoo [so] she could have a piece of our little town with her today!”
