A pair of school records fell as the Kingston Lady Redskins track team placed second behind powerhouse Washingtonintheprestigious OBU Track Invitational last week.
Lady Redskin junior stalwarts Daisy Avery and Coby Davis set new KHS marks with Avery capturing the new title in the 3,200 meters and Davis establishing the new mark in the 100 meters. Davis clocked in at 12.47 seconds in claiming third overall while Avery posted a time of 12:03.66 while also taking third individually.
The duo wasn’t done there however as Davis also took fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 26.49 seconds and Avery added a sixth in the 1,600 meters with a mark of 5:40.31.
Kate Ratzlaff was the runner-up in the 300 hurdles in crossing the stripe at 47.78 and also notched a fourth in the 100 hurdles in 17.14 seconds. Addie Cole placed fifth as well in the 800 meters with a time of 2:33.71.
Kingston also performed well in the relays as the grouping of Cassidy Walker, Ratzlaff, Kenley Hallum and Davis clocked in at 50.46 seconds in the sprint relay for second place. The same foursome also ran the 1,600 relay and was runner-up in that event as well by posting a 4:12.91.
In the 3,200 relay, the unit of Cole, Avery Ludrick, HallumandLaylaThompson contributed a fifth place mark of 11:01.25.
