In their first game, the Kingston Lady Redskins watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 7-2 loss to the North Rock Creek Lady Cougars. Taloa Lewis was in the pitcher's circle for the Lady Redskins. The righty allowed two hits and five runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
Sydney Navarrett threw four and a third innings in relief. Lewis led Kingston Varsity Redskins with two hits in three at bats.
In their second game for the day, four runs from Jayda Foster helped lead Kingston past the Chisholm Varsity Lady Longhorns 12-4. Foster drove in runs on a single in the third and a home run in the seventh.
After the Lady Redskins scored one run in the top of the fifth, the Lady Longhorns answered with one of their own. The Lady Redskins scored when Sydney Navarrett's sac fly scored one run for Kingston.
Kingston pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third,BrookelynMandrigues singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run and Foster singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
The Lady Redskins notched six runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Kingston was led by Kaylin Dougherty, Mandrigues, Lewis, and Jacklyn Merritt, all driving in runs in the frame.
Navarrett pitched the LadyRedskinstovictory.The pitcher allowed five hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out four.
Kingston scattered 13 hits in the game. Mandrigues, Foster, Dougherty, and Merritt all collected multiple hits for the Lady Redskins. Foster and Mandrigues each collected three hits to lead Kingston. Olivia Quapaw led Kingston with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
In their final game of the seasononThursday,theLady Redskins fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-0 loss to the Chandler Lady Lions. A single by AJ Stepp in the second inning was a positive for the Kingston Lady Redskins.
Navarrett took the loss for the Lady Redskins. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing 11 hits and ten runs while striking out one and walking zero. Stepp went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the Lady Redskins in hits.
