With the Lake Country Conference winding down, the Redskins squared off against the Dickson Comets. On February 12, 2021, Coach Wiebener and the Redskins had no intention letting this one get away from them and they were successful, the Redskins won by 24; 67 to 43.

As Brady Brister likes to do, he came out firing from long range. He had three three-pointers. Dakota Wiebener had a three-pointer and added a two-point field goal. Jase Hays was 1 of 2 from the line. Dickson was being stubborn, however. Redskins lead at the end of the first quarter by 2 points, 15 to 13.

The second quarter proved to be a problem for the Comets. The Redskins scored from everywhere. Brister had a field goal and was 2 of 2 from the line. Tucker Rumer came in a hit a three-pointer. Jesse Rose had a field goal and was 2 of 3 from the line. Marshall Ludrick and Hays each had field goals. Reid Cason had a three-point play, a bucket and 1. Hayden McKinney was 1 of 2 from the line. At the horn, the Redskin lead swelled to 37 to 16.

Brister was smoking hot in the third quarter, as well. He had two more three-pointers, and a two-point goal, as well. Cason had two more inside buckets. Hays had two field goals and was 1 of 3 from the line. Rose added another field goal. The score after three quarters was now 53 to 21.

The starters played spar-ingly in the fourth quarter. Brister put the finishing touch on his night with a two-point goal. He was also 2 of 2 from the line. Braden Matchen was very productive with a three and a two-point goal, plus 2 of 2 from the line. Rumer had a field goal and McKinney was 2 of 2 from the line. The final score was, 68 to 41.

Box score: Brister lead the team with 25 points. He hit five three-pointers and three two-point goals. He was perfect from the free throw line, 4 of 4. Hays had eight points, 2 of 5 from the line. Matchen and Cason each had seven points. Rose had six points, Rumer and Wiebener each had five. McKinney had three points and Marshall Ludrick had two points and a great defensive game. 13 of 19 from the line for 68% for the team from the free throw line.

Another good defensive effort from the Redskins. Something else to build on was the 20 total point effort from the front court – Rose, Matchen and Cason. This is something the Redskins have needed. Brister turned in another great game.
