Kingston girls 2nd, boys 4th at Lake Country

Kingston girls placed second while the boys were fourth in the Annual Lake County Conference Track Meet last weekend in Madill.

The Lady Redskins had a pair of individual gold medalists sparked by Coby Davis with a winning time of 12.52 seconds in the 100 meters while Kate Ratzlaff contributed a winning mark of 47.18 in the 300 hurdles.

Daisy Avery notched a pair of placing times with a third in the 3,200 meters at 12:01.42 and fifth in the 1,600 in 5:46.29. Gracie Donnell checked in second in the high jumpat4feet,10incheswhile Natalie Howell added a third in the 100 hurdles in 18.11.

Cassidy Walker took fourth in the 100 meters clocking in 12.99 seconds, Vivian Cobbs posted a fourth inthe200metersat27.60and Addie Cole notched a fifth in the 800 meters with a mark of 2:34.11.

Kingston won a pair of relays, claiming the title in the sprint relay at 50.02 seconds and the 1,600 meters in 4:08.85. Ratzlaff, Walker, Kenley Hallum and Davis teamed up in the sprint relay while it was the tandem of Walker, Ratzlaff, Cole and Davis in the 1,600.

Walker, Vivian Cobbs, Avery Ludrick and Davis combined in the 800 relay for a second place finish of 1:47.80 and the grouping of Cole,Ludrick,AveryandRatzlaff was third in the 3,200 meters in a time of 10:26.70.

Although the Redskins didn’t have gold medal showings there were several high placings in the event.

Dominic Sokolnicki was runner-up in the shot put at 43 feet, 11 inches with teammate Clayton Shipp ending fourth at 41 feet, 11 inches. Logan Stephens posted a third in the 400 meters in 51.29 seconds while Jaquin Manchaca crossed in 52.44 seconds for fifth place.

JackHinsleycontributeda pair of fourth place showings in the hurdle events, clocking in at 15.25 seconds in the 110 hurdles and 41.17 seconds in the 300 hurdles. Koewyn Young ran to a fourth in the 100 meters at 11.25 and Kasen Barker took fourth in the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 9 inches.

The Redskins were second in a pair of relays with the grouping of Young, Hudson Everhart, Kelly Gray and Logan Stephens rolling to a 44.26 second time in the sprint relay and the unit of Young, Everhart, Barker and Stephens added a mark of 1:31.68 in the 800 relay.

Chipping in a fourth place time was the 1,600 relay foursome of Hinsley, Jaquin Manchaca, Everhart and Stephens as they posted a 3:32.02.
