Redskins vs Madill Wildcats

The Redskins faced the Madill Wildcats on January 19 to open the Wampus Cat Classic in Atoka. Kingston took another punch to the chin from the Wildcats as they fell 44 to 31]. This gave the Wildcats two in the win column over the Redskins this season.

Junior Reid Cason continued to lead the team in the first quarter. He was good for six points. The other buckets were far and few between. Freshman Brock Rumer had the other and the Redskins trailed by one, 9 to 8.

The second quarter was where it got away from the Redskins. Parks Ratzlaff managed the only bucket and the Redskins trailed 27 to 10 at the half.

The Redskins struggled to get a score. Cason had two buckets and missed his only free throw attempt. Ewan Weaver had a bucket and Hayden Seeney was 1 of 2 from the line. The score after three quarters was 41 to 17, with the Wildcats in control.

In the fourth quarter, Cason again was good for two more field goals and was 2 of 2 from the line. Rumer hit two three pointers and Drew Anderson was 2 of 3 from the line. Wildcats took this one, 44 to 31.

Redskins vs Latta

Kingston faced off with Latta during the second round of the Wampus Cat Classic ON January 20. The Redskins fell, 49 to 38.

In the first quarter, both teams struggled to score. Hayden Seeney had a three pointer and was 2 for 2 from the line .Brock Rumer had a bucketasdidReidCason.The Redskins were up nine to five.

The second quarter was the Cash Walker show. He stunned his teammates with three huge slam dunks. Cason was 1 of 2 from the line. The Redskins clung to their lead of 16 to 15 going into half time.

The third quarter had the scoring up a little from the first half. Cason had three big buckets. Seeney had his second three pointer. Walker again had a bucket.

DrewAndersonwasoffthe bench and had four points in quick order, a bucket and 2 of 2 from the line. The Redskins had a five point lead, 37 to 32.

A single player from Latta snatched the victory away from the Redskins in the fourth. He had four three pointers, and two two-point field goals. To add insult to injury, he was 4 of 4 from the line. That’s a twenty-point outburst.

In the previous three quarters, he had five total points. Hudson Everhardt had two buckets, Rumer was 2 of 2 from the line. Parks Ratzloff was 1 of 2 from the line. Cason missed the front end of a 1 and 1. Game over and Latta won 49 to 38.
