EthanMowles,aKingston High School athlete, received theMvnettvlkeOnaya (“YouthVisionary”)awardfor Encouraging Wellness.
Mowles received the prestigious award because of his selfless dedication to the sport, school and his teammates. He is a two-sport high school varsity athlete and wasa2023FootballAcademic State Champion.
A representative for the award said that the award is well-deserved for Mowles.
“Ethan has and continues to impact those around him all while excelling in his own personal goals,” the representative said. “He gives back to the youth in his community through youth sports.”
Mowles not only plays two sports, he also dedicates his spare time to KHS sports in different avenues.
“He can be found at almost all local youth sporting events volunteering to run the clock, umpire, coach and even run the concession,” the representative said. “He enjoysmentoringtheyounger athletes as they come up through the same programs. He takes pride in athletics as he believes the discipline in sports trains him mentally and physically. He promotes health and wellness through sports which also shows in the classroom. Ethan’s plan for after high school is to become a Coach so he can help others.”
They said athlete isn’t the only way to describe Mowles. The representeative also said his adjectives are selfless and encouraging.
