Evelyn Perez

As a proud member of the Madill Class of 2024, Evelyn Guadalupe Munoz Perez has spent the past 15 years immersed in the vibrant culture of Madill Schools. The daughter of Jose Guadalupe Munoz-Munoz and Teresa Perez-Perez, and granddaughter of Inocencio Perez, Avelina Perez Munoz, Olegaría Munoz, and Jose de Jesús Munoz Preciado, she embodies the values of hard work and dedication that her family instilled in her from a young age.

Evelyn is an active participant in numerous extracurricular activities, including Band, Show Choir, Academic Team, Student Council, Art, Speech, National Honor Society and National Arts Honor Society.

She said she wants to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, followed by a Master’s in Ethnomusicology at the University of Oklahoma.

She said one of her fondest memories from her time at school is the excitement of the book fair. She cherished the freedom of choosing books with her own money, an experience that not only fueled her love for reading but also created lasting happiness. She also said her memories from band competitions—bonding with fellow musicians who share her passion—are highlights of her high school experience.

She expressed heartfelt gratitude toward her directors for their unwavering supportthroughouthermusical journey. Their dedication to ensuring that she enjoys her time in band has made a significant impact on her life. She also thanked her parents for their constant presence and encouragement, always helping her pursue her interests and navigate the challenges of her first job.

She said her inspiration comes from her grandmother Avelina and her parents, who have taught her the importance of perseverance.
