Chloe Montes

As the fast pitch softball season comes to a close, Madill High school would like to take a moment to shine a spotlight an exceptional senior, Chloe Montes.

Montes is the daughter of Sheila Howard and Tj Montes, and she has spent the last 5 ½ years as a proud student at Madill Schools. Duringhertimehere,Montes has immersed herself in a variety of activities, making her high school experience rich and fulfilling.

Montes is an active participant in fastpitch and slowpitch softball. She has also taken on the role of football filmer and wrestling trainer.

After graduating, Montes said she plans to attend Oklahoma State University, where she will pursue a degree in sports media. Her ambition reflects her love for sports and storytelling, aiming to blend the two in her future career.

Montes said she cherishes the friendships she has formed at Madill. She said that “meeting the friends I consider family” is her favorite memory from school.

Her time in band has also left a lasting impression. When reflecting on her favorite memory from band, she expressed gratitude towards her directors.

“Thank you for never doubting me and letting me chase my dreams,” she said.

In life, Montes said she credits her mother as her primarysourceofinspiration. Her mother’s unwavering support has helped shape who she is today. Furthermore, during her football season, she found motivation in Brandon Jacks, who encouraged her to pursue her dreams in sports media, reinforcing the idea that mentorship can come from various places.

As softball season comes to an end, Montes prepares to embark on the next chapter of her life, carrying with her the lessons learned and memories made at Madill Schools.
