Terry Lyn Thomas, 71, of Soldier Creek, Okla. passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, in Sherman, Texas. He wasbornonFebruary19,1952,inLindsay, Okla. to the late H.P. Thomas and Ophelia Anderson Thomas.
Terry was raised in Lindsay and graduated from Lindsay High School in 1970. He married Donna Darlene Boydston on October 7, 1971, in Lindsay. Terry attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.
He lived in Norman and Purcell, Okla. before moving to the Carolina’s. In 2014, he moved to Soldier Creek where he lived the rest of his life.
He worked in the construction industry for several years before going to work for Bergin Enterprises as a Director of Operations. While living in South Carolina, he worked with his daughter selling auto parts at Southern Pride Cartway.
Terry was president of the board at Soldier/Caney Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and bird hunting. Terry was an amazing husband, father and pawpaw who loved OU Football and dirt track racing.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ginger Owens; and brothers, Gary and Henry Thomas Terry is survived by his wife, Donna Thomas of Soldier Creek, Okla.; son, Larry Thomas and wife Danielle of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Jay Owens, Madison Thomas, Jaycee Owens; brother, Paul Thomas and wife Rhonda of Kingston, Okla.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla.
The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Purdy Cemetery in Lindsay, Okla. Dr. Kevin O’Brien will officiate the service.
