Mickey Joe Bailey

Mickey Joe Bailey, 72, of Kingston, Okla. passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He was born on April 17, 1951, in Madill, Okla. to the late Leroy Bailey and Leoria McGuagh Turner.

Mickey was raised in Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School in 1969. He attended Murray State College before joining the National Guard where he served for several years.

Mickey married Janice Kay Rollins on December 10, 1976, in Kingston.He worked at Uniroyal/Michelin in Ardmore, Okla. and retired in 2008. Mickey was a member of the Methodist Church, and he enjoyed being on Lake Texoma, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching OU Football.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy Thomas and Shirley Ann Bailey and brother, Sammy Bailey.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Janice Bailey of Kingston, Okla.; children, Kimberly Reid and husband Jamon of Kingston, Okla., John Cheairs of Kingston, Okla.; grandchildren, Meredith Reid, Benjamon Reid, Wyatt Reid, Tyler Cheairs, Elizabeth Cheairs, Kaitlin McCorstin; six great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Wells of Durant, Okla., Bonnie Karr of Bartlesville, Okla., Vicki Johnson and husband Frank of Kingston, Okla.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Okla. Interment will be at the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Okla. Joe Patterson will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.

Casket Bearers will be Jamon Reid, Ben Reid, Wyatt Reid, Lance Moore, Zach Rainwater and Sam Huffman.
