Hazel A. Gwin, 95, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at her home in Madill. She was born on October 12, 1927, in Dickens, Texas to thelateJamesWillie(Rusty)Edwardsand Cleo Valentine Hawley Edwards.

Hazel was raised in West Texas and later moved to Fort Worth where she ran a secondhandstore. ShemovedtoOklahoma and in 1954 she moved to Madill where she lived the rest of her life. Hazel worked at the Madill Pants Factory, and she was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed making China dolls, sewing doll clothes, ceramics, and doing upholstery.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Lloyd Loffer “Lum” and Floyd Ralph Gwin; sister, Emmie Donahue and brother, J R Edwards.

Hazel is survived by her children, Cleo Hightower of Kingston, Okla., Mattie Dykens of Derby, Kans.; grandchildren, Lloyd Hightower and wife Shana, Justin Bishop Sluiter and wife Amy; great grandchildren, Montana Rain Hightower, Gypsy River Sluiter and Nani Serenity Sluiter; brother, sisters and several cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. It will be officiated by Todd McRay. Service will be under the directionofWattsFuneralHomeinMadill,Okla.Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
