Flora Mae Bigger 87, of Madill, Okla.passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born on September 29, 1932 in Powell, Okla. to the late James Stephen Green and Mary Gertrude Drennan Green.
Flora was raised in the Powell and Russett area and graduated from Madill High School in 1951. She married T. A. “Bussy” Bigger on May 20, 1950 in Madill and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2003.
Flora worked for 35 years at the Madill Pants Factory and later as a caretaker. She was a member of the Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Madill and she loved making Christmas Candy, sewing, and cooking and taking care of her family
She is survived by her children; Tony Alan Bigger and wife Char of Madill, Okla., Carol Smither and husband Marvin of Milburn, Okla., Sharleen Bridgman and husband Bobby of Aubrey, Texas, her grandchildren; Valerie Smither, Theresa Smither, Brandy and Chris Ice, Amber and Matt James, Robert and Erica Bridgman, Tony Alan and Tiffany Bigger, T. J. and Stacy McKnight, Leon, Amanda McKnight, and Brian and Lacy McKnight, her great grandchildren; Justin and Shelby Dossey, Kayla and Jay Hott, Breanna James, Sophie Bridgman, Macey Ice, Chase Ice, Kayleigh Ice, Sadie McKnight, Javin McKnight, Asha McKnight, Bodey McKnight, and Raylee Bigger, her great-great Grandchildren; Tristan Dossey, Jesse Dossey, and Brynlee Dossey, her brothers; Hoyt Green of Ardmore, Okla., and Donald Green of Houston, Texas, sister, Dorothy Potter of Mannsville, Okla., and sister-in-law, Billie Bennett of Madill, Okla.
Flora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Janice Hamilton, brother; Clayton Green, brothers in-law; Pete Bigger, J. W. Bennett, Jimmy Potter, Gerald Hamilton, sister in-law; Doris Gibson, Mozelle Bigger and Alice Green.
Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2020 at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, at 10:00 a.m., August 22, 2020 at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Brother Earl Scroggins will officiate. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
