Claudia Janelle Hadley

Claudia Janelle Hadley, 77 of Kingston, Okla. passed away on March 31, 2021 at her home in Buncombe Creek, Okla. She was born on June 15, 1943 in Ocilla, Ga. to the late Joseph Jackson Burgess and Beulah Ann Howell Burgess.

Janelle was raised in Atlanta, Ga. where she attended school. She married Bill Hadley on August 14, 1959 in Atlanta. In 1967, they moved to Oklahoma City, Okla. and in 1990 moved to Buncombe Creek area in Kingston.

They own and operate Red Arrow liquor store in Madill. Janelle was a member of the Texoma Southern Baptist Church,

Red Hat Society, Ladies Auxiliary and Buncombe Creek Community Center. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading, crocheting and line dancing. She also enjoyed working in the garden, exercising and her family. She is survived by her husband Bill Hadley of Buncombe

She is survived by her husband Bill Hadley of Buncombe Creek, Okla., children; Greg Hadley and wife Barbie of Lakeland, Fla., Janita Lynn Smith of Mustang, Okla., six grandchildren; Nicole Smith McCoy and husband Mike, Joseph Hadley and wife Caroline, James Hadley, Victoria Hadley. one great grandchild Sloan Madison Hadley, and her twin sister Annelle Maddox and husband Jerry of Eatonton, Ga.

Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and four sisters.

Visitation was held Friday, April 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.

Services were 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Texoma Southern Baptist Church in Buncombe Creek, Okla. Keith Rogers officiated the service. Interment was at the Shay Cemetery in Shay, Okla. Music was arranged by Geraldine Hodges. Service were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
