Beverly Ann Christner, 74, of Little City, Okla. passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at her home in Little City. Bev was born on May 7, 1948, in Long Beach, Calif. to the late Ray Lawrence Christner and Helen Othella Carriker Christner. She was raised in California where she attended school.
On October 3, 1968, she joined the United States Navy and served till August 20, 1970. She worked as a Counselor in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma and was the director of Counseling Care for the Department of the Navy in California for several years. In 2005, she moved to Madill and worked at Video Magic. Bev was of the Mormon faith, she enjoyed doing crafts, handy with tools and loved antiquing.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents; son, Victor Patrick Cronkite; brother, Ray Lawrence Christner Jr., and granddaughter, Lyndsea Cronkite Bev is survived by her son, Vince Cronkite and wife Robin of Clarksville, Tenn.; grandchild, Lance Edward Cronkite of Clarksville, Tenn.; sister, Patricia Owens and husband Mike of Marietta, Okla. and nephew, Ryan Christner Owens Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
