Bennie Howard Eddington, 85, of Madill, Okla. passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Alliance Hospital in Madill. He was born on April 24, 1937, in Little City, Okla. to the late Arthur Benjamin Eddington and Francis Lucille Rice Eddington.
Bennie lived most of his life in the areas around Madill. He worked at Woods GroceryStoreandTexomaMeatCompany. Bennie loved to go hunting and fishing with his many friends and stayed active right up until his final days.
Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Francis Eddington; son, Anthony Eddington; brothers, Eddie Eddington, Jimmy Eddington and sister in-law, Judy Eddington.
Bennie is survived by his children, Curtis Eddington of Huntsville, Texas; grandchildren, Curt, Kris, Chance, and Chaise Ann Eddington; great grandchildren, Charlotte, Alyssa, Orion, and Masen Eddington; great great grandchild, Kaiser Hernandez; brothers, Rudy Eddington of Shelbyville, Texas, Tim Eddington and wife Teri of Shreveport, La.; sister, Phyllis Watson and husband Jerry of Hendersonville, Tenn.; sister in-law, Sue Eddington of Gladewater, Texas; best friend, Geri Eddington of Cumberland, Okla. and multiple cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and other family.
Graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Cumberland Cemetery in Cumberland, Oklah. S. R. Arrington officiated the service. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
