Linda “Judy” Ruth Hamilton, 84, of Ardmore, Okla. passed away on January 20, 2023, at the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore. Linda was born on August 7, 1938, in Clemscott, Okla. to the late Dennis Clifford Williams and Ruth Irene Cannon Williams. She grew up in the Fox, Graham and Pruitt City, Okla. area and graduated from Fox High School in 1956.
Linda moved to Ardmore and worked for Harry M. Carter Insurance Agency. She also worked for Ruth Spring and later Harry Spring as a bookkeeper. After retiring in 2012, Linda moved to Madill where she lived for a short time before moving to Southbrook Nursing Center in Ardmore where she has lived the past 5 years.
She loved to read, do crossword, and word search puzzles. Linda also enjoyed watching game shows, the Dallas Cowboys and cooking, but working brought her the greatest joy.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Billy Williams.
Linda is survived by her children, Brad Hamilton and wife Shelly of Madill, Okla., Dennis Hamilton of Frisco, Texas, Bill Hamilton and wife Terri of Lone Grove, Okla; five grandchildren, Taylor Hamilton, Josh Hamilton and wife Autum, Luke Hamilton, Ben Hamilton, and Jordan Hamilton; and sister, Jerrie Magruder of Mansfield, Texas.
Visitation was held Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Funeral service wer Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. at 2:00 p.m. Billy Zang will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
Casket Bearers were Dennis Hamilton, Bill Hamilton, Brad Hamilton, Luke Hamilton, Ben Hamilton, Jordan Hamilton, and Josh Hamilton.
Honorary Bearers were Staff of Southbrook Nursing Center.
