The road to the Super Bowl has been a wild ride

Super Bowl LVII is right around the corner. With the impending event that is set to take place in Arizona in February 2023, the predictions are not far behind.

The Kansas City Chiefs clinched the AFC West with their dominating season to back them. The Chiefs are currently sitting on a pretty 12-3recordandhaveclaimed their seventh consecutive division crown for the 20222023 season.

It seems as if Losing Tyreek Hill didn’t slow Patrick Mahomes and his team. In fact, Mahomes is currently on the path to breaking the NFL’s single-season passing yard record. If Mahomes stays on his current trajectory, he could quite possibly beat Peyton Manning’s single-season record of 5,477 yards. Manning crushed those numbers in 2013 when he was still with the Denver Broncos.

The Las Vegas Raiders seemed to be on life support with a 2 - 7 season. However, they might have an outside shot at the playoffs. Even though they might have a chance, their margin for error is extremely thin with their current 6 - 9 record.

The winners of the AFC North were just as clear cut as the AFC West. The Cincinnati Bengals grabbed the AFC North division with their 11 - 4 record. Not only do they have an amazing record, theBengalswonsevengames in a row, nine of their prior ten, and 11 of their prior 12 games.

Even though the Baltimore Ravens have struggled throughout the season by letting double-digit leads slip through their fingers to the Dolphins, Bills and Giants, they are currently sitting in second place with a 10 - 5 record. It is argued that they have the second-best ground game and that could give them an edge against their opponents while playing in inclement weather.

Being touted as the worst division in the AFC, the AFC South seems to have been an interesting competition. At first, the Tennessee Titans were the favorites to clinch the division. However, Ryan Tannehill was injured and it seems likely he will be out for the season. The Titans do have Derrick Henry and that makes their odds seem favorable. According toSportsnaut,“Henrymakes Tennessee difficult to beat, especially as temperatures drop when defenders don’t want to take on a freight train in the snow.”

Even with the Titans evening the playing field, the Jacksonville Jaguars have become the newest favorite to win the division. They have won five of their last six games, including beating the Ravens,TitansandCowboys.

Two of the AFC Wild Card spots are up for grabs. Even though they have already clinched a spot, the Ravens’ chances for advancement come down to Lamar Jackson’s injury. Their roster doesn’t have enough firepower to keep up with AFC’s best since their quarterback is out.

The switch up from Brian FlorestoMikeMcDanielmay have been a surprise, but the Dolphins have gained momentum with the additions of a stronger roster. As long as their defense holds up, the Dolphins are practically a shoe in.

Sports buffs are predicting the San Francisco 49ers to win the NFC West, but not the Super Bowl. Earlier in the season, Jimmy Garoppolo had the 49ers in first place. However, with his season-ending injury, things look a tad bleak for the San Francisco team. The proverbial baton has been handed to Brock Purdy to lead the 49ers to victory. However, manyfansaren’thopefulthat the third-string QB will be successful.

The Green Bay Packers may have been a threat to win the division with Aaron Rodgers at the helm, but it is now2022wherethebizarreis bound to happen. The Packers weren’t able to continue their success, since the Minnesota Vikings clinched the NFC North. The team might have implemented a new offense and switched to a major 3-4 defense shift, but it seems to have worked.

Just like the AFC South, the NFC South is considered the worst division in football. Could it be due to the fact that TomBradyisslowingdownat his age? Even if that is true, Brady only needs to be in top form come playoff time. The Buccaneers may be sitting at 6 - 8, but with Brady at the helm, rest assured they will compete till the end.

The Philadelphia Eagles winning the NFC East is almostano-brainer.Between Jalen Hurts as quarterback andA.J.BrownandDe’Vonta Smith forming what some consider a wicked duo, many Eaglefansareoptimistic. The defense has a good mix of high-level vets and talented youth.

EventhoughtheNewYork Giants began the season as the 2022 Cinderella story, they are fighting for a playoff spot. After facing teams like the Titans, Cowboys, Packer and Ravens, their momentum was impossible to ignore. However, their struggles in the passing game from a lack of quality-pass catchers made that momentum hit a proverbial brick wall.

The NFC Wild Card race is going to be just that, wild. InCowboyQBDakPrescott’s absence, Cooper Rush carried the torch and went 4 - 1. Prescott came back, and even though he experienced some “growing pains” they have scored 24 points or more in all eight of his starts since being released from injury leave.

Sports fans aren’t banking on the Giants’ strong run, and they aren’t too confident that they will win the Wild Card slot. The Packers are a favorite for some since their recent rejuvenation and three-game winning streak. However, with a 7 - 8 record, theywillneedtowintheirtwo remaining games against the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions for a chance.

As for the biggest game of the season, many are predicting that the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles will face off at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. on February 12, 2023. It seems sports fans believe that the Bills will be leaving Arizona with the $100,000 bling added to their jewelry collection.
