Proud to have moved to Oklahoma

In the recent past, I experienced America at its best. A freedom not often recognized, much less celebrated. This came to me via a host of municipal employees and officials, men and women representing themselves professionally as ladies and gentlemen. Positive and pleasant citizens while being professional. Their attitude was obvious who they were and not who they had been programmed to be.

I made an observation in my town that needed change and improvement. The changes would abate some risk an improve functionality, while increasing longevity. My input was well received. In a very short time and with almost no redirect, I was in touch with the people directly in charge of my area of concern.

I recognized that I was experiencing freedom, being that we can communicate directly with our municipal world. The response time and follow through was surprisingly pleasant and fast.

TJ, the Johnston County Supervisor of Highways, returned my call almost immediately. He then upped his game and voluntarily arrived at the location for his own observation of the issue. He also returned my calls in the same speedy manner.

The issue then progressed to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Kevin Harner, the ODoT District Three Director, also returned my call rather quick. He also had a positive and upbeat attitude. After returning my call, he advised me that he would be going to the location of the issue. During his visit, he was extremely pleasant and professional, making a great view of and for ODoT.

To put the cherry on top of both gentlemen replying in a timely manner and being professional, they carried out the work that was needed to begin to fix the issue. They improved the infrastructure of Johnston County. There is currently a phase two and phase three being coordinated.

All the people involved in this entire event made me happy of my decision to move here. Be proud and blessed to be living in Oklahoma.
