Emilie Johnson

Emilie Johnson is a senior softball player at Madill High School. She is the daughter of Mitchell and Amy Johnson. She has two younger brothers named Josh and Landon Johnson. She has attended Madill public schools all twelve years and played fast and slow pitch all four seasons of high school.

Throughout her school sports career, Johnson has received Lake Country and All Conference player for 2021 and All District Utility Player for 2020. She said her biggest challenge has been trying to live up to be the person she thought she wanted to be when she was younger, but has plenty of people to thank for making her a better person

"My favorite memory was when fast pitch got an amazing coach, Coach Van, who pushed us every day and always had our backs, even when we were young," Johnson said. ''I'd like to tell my coaches that I know I may h ave been a hardheaded player at times, but I understood what you guys were trying to get out of me. Thank you for everything."

"My dad has always pushed me to be better at what I do," she continued. "I definitely owe it all to him for being my biggest supporter in everything."

"Both my parents have been my biggest supporters since day one," Johnson said proudly. "I love them both and I am grateful for them allowing me to be a part of such a great sport."

Johnson said her plans after high school are to attend Murray State College to get her basics then transfer to a bigger collage for Radiology.

Her advice for the younger classmates is that "things get overwhelming sometimes but just keep your head in school because it doesn't last forever."
