Many folks are still scramblin g to get some normalcy back in their lives after the catastrophic tornado tore through the area Monday evening, March 21, 2022. Many dear frien ds and neighbors lost their homes and belongings.
The recovery efforts have been exemplary with folks coming from all over as well as in the area to focus on clean up, food delivery an d general items of clothing, cleaning agents, gloves, etc.. This has truly been a heartbreaking time for many in our area but as we move forward, we are th ankful and blessed that no one was severely hurt or killed an d find that we h ave grown closer as a community because of it.
There are too many to mention, with people and businesses that have donat ed their time, products, equipment, and many other services to help those in need . Thank you to all who are t ending to the clean up efforts. We know who you are and are forever thankful.

Th e "Burnin g of t h e Socks" event held on March 19 was a huge success. The weath er was fantastic, and we had a good show of folks. On Saturday, April 16, the Buncombe Creek Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting their annual meeting around 10:00 a.m. Be sure to attend, as they will be voting on three board member positions as well as updating us on the Twelfth Annual Golf Tourna ment held in June and various other plans and activities of the department.
