Donald Ray Morgan 85, of Madill, Okla. passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Family Care Center in Kingston, Okla. He was born on July 9, 1935 in Powell, Okla. to the late L.V. Morgan and Georgia Pearl Massey Morgan.
Donald was raised in Lebanon and graduated from Madill High School in 1953.He moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he worked at the Fort Worth Stock Yards before moving back to Madill. Donald married Delois Ann Ross on October 27, 1956 in Gainesville, Texas. He worked for the Taliaferro Ranch in Madill before going to work for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission as a Fuel Inspector where he worked for 35 years before retiring.
Donald was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Madill Roundup Club. He enjoyed reading, vacationing to Branson, Missouri and Arkansas but most of all he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his wife Ann Morgan of Madill, Okla., children; Hal Morgan and friend Sheryl Reid of Blanchard, Okla., Rhonda Tickel of Madill, Okla., granddaughter Monica Ellis and husband Cody of Ada, Okla., and great grandson Connor Ellis.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; John Morgan and two sisters; Lorraine Back and Mary Edna Whalen.
Visitation was held Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services were Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Randy Kendrix will officiate the service. Interment was held at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Okla. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
