Leota McCarver

Leota (DeBock) McCarver passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Mercy Health Love County Hospital in Marietta, Okla. at the age of 80. She was born to Leo DeBock and Crystal (Crouse) DeBock in Enid, Okla. on June 20, 1940.

She and her husband of 61 years, Jerry McCarver, built a life together at Lake Texoma, where the McCarver’s managed multiple marinas through the years, including Willow Springs, Catfish Bay and Soldier Creek. In addition to enjoying time at the lake and traveling, Leota shared a love of golf with her husband Jerry. Leota loved animals, particularly Maggie their dog and wildlife near their home. She loved reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Those she leaves to cherish her memories are her husband, Jerry McCarver, daughters; JoAnna Cooper and Danny Bokies of Kingston, Okla., Sheri Hutchins and husband Stephen of Marietta, Okla., grandchildren; Angie Cooper of Gordonville, Texas, Jennifer Gray and husband Gary of Vernon, Texas, Kory Atcuson of Seattle, Wash., Katie Hampton and T.J. Norman of Broken Arrow, Okla., Jon Hutchins and wife Sarah of Skiatook, Okla., 11 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, brothers, Lynn DeBock and wife Carol of Mead, Okla., Joe DeBock of Quinlan, Okla., sister, Trudy Miller and husband Buck of Lone Grove, Okla.

Leota was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Crystal DeBock, sisters; Patty Shelton, Marsha Peery, Tony Loveday, and brother, Phillip DeBock.

Honorary pallbearers were Kory Atcuson, Michael Miller, Pam Thompson, Carol DeBock, Stephen Hutchins, Joe DeBock, Jennifer Gray, Gene Thompson and Barbara Hoffman.

A graveside service was held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, Okla.
