The Community Children's Shelter and Family Services Center, Inc. of Ardmore unveiled a new name and logo, as well as plans to build a new facility and the launching of a capital campaign in an announcement on Thursday.
CCSFSC, Inc., now known as Community Youth Services, is a local youth service agency providing a residential safe place, counseling, life skills and basic needs such as food, clothing and school supplies to more than 700 youth and families per year.
Kaylyn Weldon Gary, Executive Director, said the agency will continue to transform the lives of youth by giving a home, hope and healing to Oklahoma’s most vulnerable youth. “By changing our name and logo, we are saying to the world that we know community, relationships and empathy are the most important way for us to protect and impact the next generation,” Weldon Gary said.
The new campus will span 4.58 acres and will include a 15,500 square foot facility, more than doubling the current space and capacity for service provision. The cost of the project is $4 million. $2,243,600.00 has already been raised through grants and other donors. The agencyhopes to raise $500,000 from the community with the launch of the capital campaign.
