Jenna Lee King, 81, formerly of Madill and Little City, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Dogwood Creek Retirement Center in Muskogee, Okla.
Born the fourth of five children on Friday, October 13, 1939 to Charles and Lela Collier in Barnsdall, Okla. Jenna graduated Grand Falls-Royalty High School in 1958 and married the love of her life, Raymond Davis King, Sr. on Christmas Day 1960. She and Ray welcomed their son, Raymond King, Jr. (Scooter) into their family in 1967. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She worked as secretary for the Johnston-Marshall Baptist Association until moving to Broken Arrow, Okla., where she retired from Blue Bell Creameries. An active member of the Baptist Association, Jenna loved being a member of her church families at Little City Baptist Church and later in her life Warner First Baptist Church. Jenna is survived by her husband, Raymond Sr., her son, Raymond Jr., and his wife, Kimberley of Keefeton, her grandchildren, Tosha Stout and her husband Eric of Keefeton, and Raymond III and his wife Savannah of Cashion, and her great-grandchildren, Jackson Stout and Baby King due in October. Jenna is also survived by her sisters Joann Matthews, Patsy Cox, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 22, 2021 with her family greeting friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Garrett Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating the life of Jenna was held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Warner, Okla. with Pastor Justin Villines and Pastor Tim King officiating. Committal prayers and interment followed in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the personal direction of John Garrett.
