Bennie Ervin Goodman, 80, of Marietta, Okla. passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Okla. He was born on September 10, 1940 in Linn, Okla. to the late Tony Sylvester Goodman and Wilma Pauline Watkins Goodman.
Bennie was raised in Marshall County where he lived most of his life. In 2000, he moved to Carter County where he lived in a group home and the past four years, he has lived in Lakeland Manor Nursing Center.
Bennie was a member of the Fist Baptist Church in Ardmore and he enjoyed drinking coffee, going to Braums for a hamburger and diet coke. He loved his sister, Peggy and Christmas was his favorite holiday.
He is survived by his brother Sam Goodman of Madill, Okla., and several nieces and nephews.
Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Tony and Frosty Goodman and one sister; Peggy Goodman Skinner.
Visitation will be Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Watts Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Service will be Monday, March 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Okla. Billy Harding will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Cumberland Cemetery in Cumberland, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
