Two people facing charges after shooting

Two people are facing charges after a shooting on July 15. According to Marshall County Sheriff, Donald Yow, the MCSO received a call from the Alliance Hospital to report a gunshot victim who arrived in the emergency room.

The Madill Police Department responded to the emergency and found out that the incident occurred in Lebanon. The victim was able to give a statement before they were airlifted to another hospital.

MCSO and the Chickasaw Nation Light Horse Police gathered information and identified two suspects, Ryan Hagood and Kristina Hankins. According to officers, the victim was living on Hagood’s property and an argument ensued between the victim and Hagood.

It is alleged that Hagood obtained a firearm and shot the victim twice.

Stacy Doggett, Hagood’s neighbor, told KXII that she initially believed that sound was from somebody celebrating IndependenceDayafewdayslate.

“I heard numerous gunshots — like at least five or six,” she said in an interview. “And they weren’t back-to-back, they were like spread apart. I mean I heard it plain as day. I actually thought it was fireworks… because they had been doing that,” she said.

Doggett also said Hankins texted her during the chaotic event.

“She actually messaged me last night while this was going on, asking me to take her to the hospital,” she said. “I told her I couldn’t because I didn’t have gas… That’s it, I never heard anything from her after that,” Doggett said.

Hagood,a34-year-oldfrom Lebanon, is facing charges for Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Firearm After the Formal Conviction of a Felony, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

An online search found priors for Grand Larceny, Possession of CDS, Distribution of CDS, Possession of CDS with the Intent to Distribute, Pos s e s s i on o f Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm AFCF, UnauthorizedUseofaVehicle, Possession Incomplete Card and Unauthorized Use of Credit Card.

Hankins, a 34-year-old from Lebanon, is facing charges for Accessory to Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Transfer of a Firearm to a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. An online search found a prior for No Driver’s License.
